The Norton Security is compatible with the following operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 10 (All versions except Windows 10 S) Microsoft Windows 8.1 or later (32-bit and 64-bit) Microsoft Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro (32-bit and 64-bit) Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) with Service Pack 1 or later Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) with Service Pack 1 or later Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 3
As you can see, it supports all the versions of Windows, except the Windows 10 S one, probably because it lacks some libraries that are needed. You can check that on the following website.
High disk usage refers to a process that forces the hard disk to perform heavy operations that will slow the performance of other applications currently running. Usually, there are two types of usage situations:
You are currently doing an operation that requires heavy disk usage, therefore you will see hard disk activity to be very high in the Task Manager.
The application is not correctly developed/optimized to work nice with the system where it's installed.
Try contacting the developer of the application and report this issue to him.
Yes, you can use your computer while there is an active scan started by the Norton Security. If you have a very powerful computer, you won't even notice the impact on the computer's performance. Norton Security will always scan files, ports, processes when there is activity on the computer, but it doesn't affect your work on the computer in any way. Most security applications are developed to keep a minimum level of interaction with the user while keeping the protection at maximum levels.
Every time I try to open Chrome it can't be opened. And after an hour or so, it opens. Then I realized that I can't open Norton Security too, it shows the Norton logo with red X. What can I do?

Your applications might be corrupted or the hard disk of your computer might have working problems. However, I recommend you to reinstall Chrome and repair Norton. At first you should uninstall it from Uninstall a program in Control Panel. If you still encounter issues, download and use HDTune. Switch to Health tab. If you see red or yellow entries, the HDD is in bad condition and needs replacement asap.
My photos now have blue arrows over them and apparently, it has to do with Norton. Could you please help?

Yes, apparently Norton Security now adds some kind of icons over the image files that are marked for backup. Fortunately, getting rid of them isn't very difficult: simply go to the anti-virus's Settings, and on the right-side of the screen in the Quick Controls section, you should see a checkbox marked as Backup Settings Overlays: uncheck it, then reboot your PC and those pesky overlaying icons should be gone.
If your issue persists or if you have any additional problems with the application, the best thing to do is to contact the company's support service, as they are definitely the ones most qualified to help you out.
After the trial period the program will lock itself. You can unlock it using an activation key that can be purchased from Norton's store. You can also try to remove and install the application but the chances of getting another trial period are low.

You have to add the software to the exclusion list. Follow the instructions below to see how that can be done:
Accept the changes and apply them, then start the software and it should work.
